ISO 14001

Environment management system

ISO 14001:2015 requires an organization to state what it is doing in terms of controlling and reducing its impact on the environment; to practice what it has stated in its environmental policy; to record the facts and to apply the lessons learned.

Advantages of Certification

  • gaining and maintaining the market share by promoting a “green” organizational image
  • Achieving and demonstrating real environmental performance to all stakeholders through the technical and economic management of environmental issues
  • facilitating the access to bank loans
  • reducing the insurance premiums
  • reducing the costs through a more efficient use of the resources and reduction of the environmental accident risks

.

Why SRAC?

SRAC is accredited for the environmental management systems certification by: RENAR – The national accreditation body (Certificate SM 004).

SRAC certifications are recognized at an international level through SRAC partnership in IQNet (The International Certification Network). To that extent, the organizations certified by SRAC receive, together with SRAC Certificate, also the IQNet Certificate, without any additional costs.

Upon the certification process successfully completed, SRAC certified organizations:

  • have the right to use SRAC and IQNet conformity marks for advertising purposes;
  • are regularly informed on the evolutions in the environmental and certification areas, by accessing SRAC website, events organized by SRAC.

Why certification?

A successful organization should:

  • identify all the environmental aspects of its activities, products and/or services, in all the locations it operates
  • use a logical and objective methodology to prioritize these aspects, based on the importance of their impact on the environment
  • focus its management system towards the improvement and minimization of such significant impacts on the environment

By carrying out its processes, manufacturing its products or providing its services, every organization uses natural resources and non-regenerable energy sources and, at the same time, generates secondary products as wastes.

The implementation and certification of an environmental management system represents a systematic approach to manage the environmental aspects of an organization. The environmental management system is an useful “tool”, enabling the organizations of any size or type to control the impact of their activities, products, services on the environment.
