HELLO Hygiene!

Why HELLO Hygiene! certification

In the context of epidemics and pandemics, hotels and restaurants are required to take the necessary precautions. The duty to care not only extends to staff and guests, but to any party that could potentially be infected in hotel’s premises or as a result of its operations. External contractors like cleaning crews are of prime example.

Hello Hygiene certification aims to support organizational preventive measures and promote convincing communication. Through independent evaluation and certification, organizations are able to verify compliance with their due diligence, demonstrate transparency and gain the trust of their guests or customers..

Hello Hygiene certification for the hospitality industry is a systematic process that could help organizations define, review and evaluate current practices; to align their efforts, use their strengths and be clear about their commitments to continuously provide these good practices.
 

HELLO Hygiene! certification scheme

Hello Hygiene is a certification scheme under the licence of IQNet.
When establishing this scheme, national and international guidelines and directives related to the prevention of communicable diseases were taken into account. These include, but are not limited to:
  • Operational Considerations for COVID-19 management in the accommodation sector. World Health Organization (2020);
  • Health Advice on Prevention of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) for Hotel Industry. Centre for Health Protection (2020);
  • Health Advice for Hotel Industry on serving guests with history of travel to or resided in Ebola Virus Disease affected areas. Center for Health Protection (2014);
  • Guidelines on Infection Control & Prevention in Hotel Industry. Hong Kong Department of Health (2008);
  • Codex Alimentarius – HACCP;
  • Orders related to COVID-19 epidemics Of Romanian Government.
 

Stages of HELLO Hygiene! certification

1.    SELF ASSESSMENT
  • Completing the online self-assessment provided by SRAC through IQNet
  • A report will be automatically generated regarding the stage of implementation of the requirements
  • The Organization shall close any gaps if the case, in order to move on to next stages
2.    DOCUMENTATION REVIEW
  • Review of policies and rules, such as hygiene plans, cleaning protocols, measures plans for personnel and guests safety, training records and others
3.    ON-SITE AUDIT
  • Verifications regarding the fulfilment of the requirements mentioned in the self-assessment questionnaire and of the rules established by the organization (hygiene plans, cleaning protocols, action plans for the safety of staff and guests, etc.)
  • Interviews with management and personnel
  • Visual survey of the facilities. Sampling procedure is not applied, all locations have to be assessed
4.    GRANTING THE CERTIFICATION
  • Once all the gaps have been closed, the certificate is issued and the right to use the certification mark HELLO Hygiene is granted
  • The certificate data is also published in the IQNet Ltd Database at www.iqnet-ltd.com

  • ISO 37001 - standard pentru stabilirea, implementarea, mentinerea si imbunatatirea unui sistem de management anti-mita, proiectat pentru a impune o cultura anti-mita intr-o organizatie si pentru a implementa controalele adecvate.
     
  • Standardul ISO 22000 asigura siguranta alimentelor de-a lungul filierei agroalimentare pana la punctul final de consum.
  • FSSC 22000 Produse alimentare este destinat producatorilor de produse alimentare cuprinde ISO 22000, ISO/TS 22002-1 si extracriterii adaugate de Fundatie.
  • FSSC 22000 Ambalaje alimentare este destinat producatorilor de ambalaje destinate filierei agro-alimentare si cuprinde ISO 22000 + ISO/TS 22002-4
  • Certificare pentru lanturile de productie si distributie alimentara: IFS, BRC
  • Pentru a putea vinde sub eticheta de produce ecologice/bio/organice este nevoie de certificare ECO. Agricultura ecologica reprezinta un sistem de gestiune agricola si productie alimentara.
  • SA8000 se bazeaza pe principiile normelor internationale de munca.
  • ISO 22301 este primul standard international pentru Business Continuity Management.
  • ISO 22716 - Cosmetice. Bune practici de fabricatie (BPF), standard ce se adreseaza tuturor organizatiilor care au in domeniul de activitate productie, control, depozitare si expediere produse cosmetice
  • SR EN 15224 - Servicii de ingrijire a sanatatii: standardul include cerinte concrete referioare la siguranta pacientului si managementul riscurilor clinice in procesele de planificare, realizare si gestionare.
  • Certificarea BS 7499:2013 a sistemului de management al serviciilor de paza si protectie
  • EMAS este instrumentul european de management de mediu si audit.
  • Reg. (UE) nr. 333/2011 este destinat organizatiilor care au ca domeniu de activitate colectarea, reciclarea si tratarea deseurilor metalice.
  • Reg. (UE) nr. 715/2013 de stabilire a criteriilor de determinare a conditiilor in care deseurile de cupru nu mai constituie deseuri.
  • Reg. (UE) nr. 1179/2012 determina conditiile in care cioburile de sticla inceteaza sa mai fie deseuri.
